Good morning. Please meditate on this truth. It is rich. - PR
Isaiah 43: 18, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of the past.”
Do not remember the disappointments, regrets or losses of the past. (It’s far too easy to allow sentiment to erode your significance. Significance is about the future and all that is ahead, but sentiment is about the former things.) If you are the kind of person who looks back, remember, your significance is in what is ahead of you, not what is behind you. God says He is going to do a new thing. “Now it will spring forth.” Do you expect God to do a new thing in your life? Are you looking ahead to where it is? The new thing is not behind you but in front of you.
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
-Philippians 3:13-14 NIV
Everyone has the tendency in our sin nature to look back. This is why it is vital that each day, starting in the morning, we invest our lives in the truth of Abba's word and give Him constant thanks for Jesus. In other words read God's promises with a thankful heart for His cross and resurrection.
We must pray about everything from the most important to the trivial, all things all the time, without ceasing. This will ultimately produce a confidence in our hearts that will overwhelm our doubts and fears. This produces the daily victorious life.
Much Love
